12. Meeting at the Greenhouse

It's too hot on the greenhouse so Venla decides to read outside. She still can enjoy the rich scent of flowers this way. Suddenly there's a huge gray dog on the loose. Venla was reading so intensively she didn't notice till there's a wet nose sniffing her arm.
- Where did you came from? She says softly and lets the curious dog sniff her and gently pets him. She's not afraid. She's used to big dogs.

- So, is this yours? Ilari looks at the greenhouse and peeks inside into tropical heat. Venla nods. - Nice hideout. I've wondered who does this here. Ilari continues, bends down to pet his dog.
- Thanks. I've been working with it since spring. Venla says. - It's a perfect place to relax and get your mind together. And read. She feels pleased about positive feedback about her hard work. Ilari notices the book Venla is reading.
- Gabaldon. So, you are into those. My girlfr-- My ex used to read those too.
- Easy summertime fun, Venla hastens to reply and feels a bit akward. Reading a romance novel is one thing, but when a handsome stranger notices you are doing so it's just akward. Then she is starting to wonder howcome Ilari is in the closed backyard.
- Um, are you living somewhere here? Venla asks. Ilari tells he's moved in in last month. Shadow passes his face and Venla remembers how worried Susanna was of him.
- Wellcome to the house then, she smiles friendly.
- Thanks and sorry about the dog, Ilari rises back to his feet, about to leave.
- Nevermind, Venla shakes her head. - Dogs are always welcome.
