26. Thoughts after

After Ilari leaves Venla gets back to her bed. He was right, she's exhausted and her whole body feels like she needs much more sleep to recover. Venla lays down and finds something disturbing. Her pillow and sheets have other persons's scent on them. Venla decides it doesn’t matter but after a while she can't help her curiosity anymore. She graps the pillow Ilari used, presses her nose against it and takes a deep breath. Mm, he smells good. 

Venla thinks what happened yesterday and this morning. It was so easy to be with him. Easy to talk, easy to be near. Waking up with Ilari left her feel safe and cared for. Venla wonders how he did it. Ilari seemed like he read her feelings and acted with it, comforted her when she really needed it. It was just the things she had longed for without finding it. Venla draws Ilari's smell from her pillow again. This is not fair! Why is he smelling so good! And why it makes me feel this way!

Running feels good and gives Ilari time to gather his thoughts. He feels confused and tired since he didn't sleep at all. He was so alerted he just listened Venla's breathing. Venla's bed was way too small and short for two people to be comfortable. At least If you're almost 190cm tall. 

Playing hero and knight in shining armour really lifted his spirits. At least how Venla reacted made him feel so. It has been so long since he had hold someone so close, felt another warm body next to his. It made him want more. On the other hand, Susanna told him multiple times not to play with Venla and was very strict about it. Now he knows why. Someone who has been thru all that physical and mental hell doesn't deserve any games. …Dammit. Iiro. He needs to keep his brother away from Venla.
