38. Mistakes

- Hi! Venla smiles when she sees Ilari behind her door and looks him from head to toe. - You look diffirent. Good. Um, I mean… eh, I haven't seen you like this. 

- Thanks. I hope she thinks so too, Ilari flashes a beautiful smile and it makes Venla feel hot. – I have a date. 

- A date? Venla feels her heart dropping. – Virpi. My ex. Ilari explains. – Hopefully not ex by tomorrow. 

– Err, that's good, Venla says and forces herself to fake enthusiasm. – Good for you! 

- So, I hoped if you could take care of Lucky for a night?

 – Oh. I see. Venla gulps. He's planning to stay overnight. 

- Is it okay? 

- Yes. Yes, perfectly fine! Venla says and waves her hand trying to signal it's nothing.

 - Great. I own you one, Ilari smiles. That he's smiling feels like dagger on Venla's back.

- Well, good luck then, Venla says. 

– You are the best! Ilari places a small kiss into Venla's forehead. 

- Wish I would be, Venla sighs when he's gone and door is safely closed.

Ok. That's it. Venla wants to hit her head to the wall. Ilari is still in love with Virpi. He cares about you, but as a friend. Nothing More. He doesn't see you like you’d like he would. Venla feels like a cry but won't let it come. She feels so angry being so naive. You read him wrong time and time again. You stupid, stupid girl. Don't fall for someone whose heart isn't free. 

Ilari felt akward. His imagination betrayed him beyond hope and while having sex with Virpi, he kept thinking about Venla. Her scent, her smile, her body, feel of that silky hair kept haunting him. Subconsius turned it into vivid erotic dreams and he woke up in middle of the night sweaty and horny, hand clutching hard on he was having. Luckily Virpi was close to take care of it. 

It was hard to look Venla into her eyes when he came back to get Lucky. She didn't smile now and Ilari realized something was off. The whole encounter had a strange feeling and Ilari felt embarrased.
