S2 28. Girls sauna night

- Where's Madde? Nora asks.
- They are making renovations for her new workroom so she's late, Oona shrugs.
- Madde is always late, Nora laughs.
- I know! Oona smirks. - Isn't Ronja coming?
- Nope.
- She can't call herself a proper Finn if she does't come to sauna! Ronja, you traitor! Oona raises her voice.
- She just got a new tattoo. She can't, Nora explains.
- I'll just stay here and drink your booze instead! They hear Ronja shouting back from other side.
- Don't you dare! Oona shouts back.
- Gosh, I have missed these girls nights, Nora smiles.
- Me too! Oona agrees.
- Well. Finally! Nora exclaimes as Madde comes to sauna.
 – Sorry, sorry. Tomas tricked me and it took forever to come back. Madde sounds bit breathless. She has clearly been in hurry.
– Typical, Oona rolls her eyes.
– Oh, oh oh! Before I forget, Oona. Mom wants to know are you coming over for midsummer party this year.
– How early she starts to plan those parties? Oona grimaces.
- Early, Madde says. – She wants them to be peeerfect.

– Oh god no. Do you think she minds if I skip it?
– Mm, not really. Madde shrugs happily.
– I know she doesn’t like me. I’m too dark, too serious, too finnish. Not posh enough and she only talks swedish to me. Oona sounds already agitated.
– Don’t worry about that. She’ll manage. You’ll manage.
– Thank god. You know you are dear, but I just can’t stand your mom and all that fuss…
- I didn't know you have attitude to Finnish swedes, Nora frowns.
– Give me a break. You have met mrs. Jansen. You know how she is. Oona sounds grumpy.
- Point taken. There is always quite a fuss, Nora admits.
- And you hate all the drinking songs! Madde reminds them in way too cheery manner.
– Don’t mention it.
– It's the best part! Helan går! She almost starts to sing.
– Madde, shut it now!
- No. You are not going to sing! Nora snaps. They have all had too fair part of swedish drinking songs for life.
They talk a while about Madde’s new job and how Oona hates to write her final paper and how it’s not coming together. Just when the talk is turning into Nora’s and Ronja’s upcoming wedding Madde springs up.
– I just got great idea!
– Oh my… Nora sighs as brunette springs down and out of the door.
- I’ll be back in five! She yells on her way.
– I have a bad feeling about this. Oona gives worried look to her friend.
– What is she up to now?
– I have no idea? You can never be sure with her.

A bit later Madde runs back, almost slips on wet floor and raises spoons and big can up in the air.
– Ice cream! She bellows.
– In sauna? Oona raises her brows.
– Why not?
– Madde, please.
- What were are you thinking? Nora stares as she starts to open up the can.
- Are you thinking at all?
- It’s perfect!
– Madde, seriously!
- Come on. You need to try it!

A moment of persuasion and good spoonfuls later there's just contented sighs.
– Ok. This was a good idea. Oona admits after all.
– You know. We need to do this again. It’s perfect! Nora smiles.
- I told you! Madde looks smug.

They go outside to cool off before ice cream completely melts and enjoy cool spring air - and more ice cream.
