S2 50. Morning after

Venla wakes up early to water her plants and take Lucky to a little walk in their new garden. Ilari is already left for his morning run and Iiro is still fast asleep.

It's first morning in the house sleeping in her own bed and everything seems so good. She picks some fresh flowers, looks around in early morning light and feels she could actually belong there.
- Hey, Venla comes closer when she notices Iiro slouching into kitchen. - Did you sleep well? Iiro rubs his face and sneers.
- Sleep? In that racket?
– Um. Sorry about yesterday. It was really inconsiderate towards you, Venla apologizes.
– It’s okay, Iiro shrugs.
– No it’s not. Venla looks sorry. – I got carried away. I was just so happy and didn’t think. It must have Been akward for you. I feel bad for it.
Iiro looks at Venla’s repentive face.
– Ok. It sucked but I’ll live.
– So do you forgive me? Us?
– It’s not a big deal. Iiro sighs.
– Can I hug you or does it make it worse? Venla isn’t confirmed yet.
– Yea. It’s ok.
– I want to do this properly, Venla says and hugs him. – I’m sorry. I want to be friends again and I promise it won’t happen again.
– I’d appreciate it, Iiro agrees and hugs her back.
– So. Pancakes or bacon?
– What?
– Which one would be good apologizing treat for you?
– Seriously?
-Mmhm, Venla smiles at him.
– If I get to choose, pancakes, Iiro smiles back
– Pancakes it is then!
Iiro watches Venla fussing in kitchen and tries to supress memories from last nights dream. Ok. It's probably the best to start to packing.
- Well, who’s awfully cheery this morning, Iiro scowls to his brother whistling as he comes from shower.
– Had a good night, Ilari grins.
– That was a low blow, Iiro murmurs.
– Sorry.
– Gsus. It was pure pain to listen to you two last night.
– Couldn’t be that bad, Ilari denies.
- ”l want to come, please. Let me come!” Iiro mimickes Venla’s pleading voice. - Did you really needed to play those games when I’m here?
– Shit. Window must have been open. Ilari thinks.
– Did you do it on purpose to pay me back or something?

– I already said I’m sorry! Ilari snaps. – Ok. I thought I could take it cool when you are here, but the moment she came on to me that reason flew out of window.
 – And you call yourself a man of disciplene? Iiro sneers.
– Come on. Could you resist her?
– Probably not, Iiro agrees. – But the point is I can’t handle it. If you two are acting out like horny lovebirds, I can’t watch it. It still stings.

– Point taken, Ilari sighs. – I just… we haven’t seen for over two weeks. I miss her.
– I get it. Iiro gives him sad smile. – You two need to be alone and have a fuckfest of your lives before you can act like normal people again.
Ilari chuckles at the thought.
– But I’m out of here, Iiro says. – It was good break from my breakdown but three is company.
– You going to be allright?
- Won’t slit my wrists, Iiro replies dryly.
– Don’t you ever joke on that! Ilari looks angry and sad.
- That hurted your feelings? Guess we are even then.
