S2 9. Venla recovering

Venla pants and curses in her mind.
I can do this. I. Can. Do. This!
Crutches are fine on your first day but after some days your hands become so sore you don’t want to move unless you have to. Venla notices her patience with herself is wearing thin. Pains are lesser bad, inability to walk is eating her alive. She has gone thru this so many times it feels like living in The groundhog Day all over again.
How blissful it's to get the cast off and finally be able to get into a bath without worrying getting the wound wet. Venla just lays on the tub, enjoys feeling warm water all around her. She cannot walk yet, but getting the cast and stiches off is such a relief.
Another thing Venla missed. Just being alone, being able to strechs and soak herself into nicely scented lotion on her own sweet time and prevent scars from tightening. And actually have strenght to do it. Sometimes even little things like that feels luxurious and make you feel like a new person.
