S2 78. False Alarm

Oona leads the police in and it’s very clear she doesn’t have anything to do with the accusations. Apartment is still half empty, clean and the professional drug farm turns out to be some parsley, rosemary, hibiscus and some other plants Venla hadn’t had a chance to get into her new place.

Some neighbor had seen Oona bringing those in after Venla asked could she look after them till she could get them back and rest was history. Very concerned elder lady, Kristian explained amusedly.
- This is so full of crap! Oona shakes her head in disbelief.
- I know. You are cleared from all accusations but you know we have to check them? Kristian says while the other man still looks around.
- I know... You guys want some instant coffee? I don’t have a machine and that shit. Oona tries to lighten up the situation.

– No thanks, we are fine. Kristian declines. – When did you move here?
– Two months ago? Oona counts the time.
– I thought Tomas owns his place? Kristian furrows.
– He does, Oona says slowly. – We broke up.
– You did? Kristian looks suprised. – Tomas haven’t said anything about it.
– You still train together?
– Yeah. Twice a week, Kristian looks troubled. – Old colleague. Got transferred into SUPO. (Security intelligence service).
The other man nods.
– That explains.

– Are you ok? Kristian wants to know.
– Little shaken by this but I guess I’m ok, Oona shrugs.
- Well, we should get going. See you at the wedding then?
– Riina is doing the ceremony? Oona wants to be sure.
– Yeah. Kristian smiles.
– Say hi to her from me. Haven’t seen her in ages.
After police left Oona sits on the floor and feels numb. Who could do such a thing? Thought she would have any drugs in her home is so ridiculous it doesn’t make sense. She feels violated, treated unjust and publicly ashamed. So, she has been watched and that person clearly had judged her before she even had a chance.

She reaches for her phone but Nora doesn’t answer. She tries Ronja but it goes straight to her voicemail. Great. Just when she would have wanted someone to talk to. Someone to vent it out. She flips through the names in her phone, stops at Madde’s name and with amused smile shakes her head. She isn’t that desperate. Tomas? …No. No way. Ok girl. Move on. She keeps going on and then looks certain name. He answers almost instantly.

- I know you are working but can I come over? I need someone to talk to. I’d really need a friend now, Oona says.
