- Going somewhere? Oona asks looking at fully packed backpack at Iiro's side.
– Yeah, to my brother’s for a weekend. He moved into southwestern Finland.
– Where he was living again? Oona fiddles a pen.
– In Säkylä.
She stops to stare Iiro.
– You are kidding. I’m going there too.
– No way?
– Yep. Leaving early in the morning. I’m going to plan my friends wedding with the other maid of honour.
– How you are going there?
– I’m driving.
– Any chance I could get a lift? We could drive there together and you could drop me off to house warming party and then continue where you were going? I’ll pay half of gas.
– Did you say house warming party? Oona looks suspicious.
– Yeah?
– What are odds we are both going into that same region and into house warming party? She says slowly, thinking crazy.
– Wait what?
– Yeah. It’s not only wedding planning. What’s your brother’s name? Oona’s eyes widen with realization.
– Ilari. Why?
– And her GF is Venla, Oona says.
- Wtf...Wait a sec. Iiro follows her lead and is starting to get the picture too.
– Well. Damn, Oona blinks. They turn into mute overwhelmed staring contestants for some minutes or so it feels.
– So it’s HER. Oona states finally. – The one you were so heartbroken over. Venla. Little Venla.
– Howcome you know her? Iiro blinks like an owl, totally dumbstruck.
– She’s my BFF’s sister. I don’t know her, like really know her, Oona explains. – Geez. This is weird.
– Tell me about it. Small world. Iiro rolls his eyes.
– Yeah and Finland is a village in it.
– Were are really going to same party?
- Looks that way. I thought it would be good change for me, Oona admits and for a moment there’s shadow over her face.
– I can’t believe this, Iiro mutters.
– I know. This is crazy!
- Ok. Ok. So are we going together? I hate sitting in crowded bus. Please, let’s go together? I can drive if you want?
– Ha! Like I’d let you to touch my baby, Oona cocks her head and gives him a wide smile. - I’m driving. Pack lightly. I’m going to pick you up at 9 AM.
Iiro didn’t expect a motorbike but wasn’t suprised after all. Of course Oona had a motorbike. Of course. How else. Should have guessed she was a biker chick. Oona was always so cool.
And it wasn’t half so bad to sit close to her back and that tight bum in leather pants. Who cares about little details like that when you could put your arms around Oona and hold on to her for three hours.
- Numb? Oona chuckles seeing Iiro trying to strech when they do little rest stop.
– I’m not sure I even have an arse anymore, Iiro grimaces.
That remark makes Oona laugh.
– You’ll get used to it, she smiles friendly. – Try to relax. You were stiff like a iron bar. You are clearly not used to this.
– How long you have had a motorbike? Iiro wants to know. Geez. Being stiff was understatement of the year.
– This one? Three years but I got my first when I turned 17.
– Long time.
– I like having good horsepower between my legs, Oona gives him suprisingly dirty smile as she gets back to saddle.
– Of course you do, Iiro grins back. Was that flirting? He looks at Oona’s behind tightly against his lap. Gaah. His mind was so deep in the gutter by now. Still at least an hour more to go.
