S2 65. Where this came from?

- Was that a promise? I could come there to check sheets on your bed and then we can see how badly they get messed up? Iiro says in that certain tone.

Oona hears girl laughing on the other end of phone as she approaches him. She didn't expect that.

Iiro continues to tell whatkind place his brother’s house is and about house warming party. He continues to tease the girl on the line. Laughter again.
– Oh no. You have no idea how naughty I can be. Really, can I be anything else with you?
Oona frowns. She remembers how she used to flirt with Tomas when they started dating. That was some serious teasing. Somehow Iiro talking those things to someone (perhaps that redhead she remembers him leaving from Purple with) doesn’t feel funny. Not even remotely amusing. It bothers her more she likes to admit.

– Yeah, call me if you get too bored, Iiro says and turns around. He heard someone coming closer. – I might be quite wasted though, he continues and sees Oona next to him. He blinks, looks troubled.

Oona forces a smile and gives Iiro a bottle. Funny how your job sticks on you even when you are free. He's serving him drinks even now. Iiro takes it, swallows and nods his thank you’s to Oona.
– Thanks. Hey, try to concentrate on getting well. I want to see you again soon, he says to the girl on the phone, looking straight into Oona’s eyes.
- Was that your GF? Oona says after he finished the call.
– Um…
- I’m happy for you, Oona says. – Hope she realises how great guy she has got. She realizes she’s fisting her hands and forces herself to relax.
– Thanks? Iiro blinks.
– Ok. I promised to help Venla with something. Gotta go. She can feel Iiro’s stare on her back but can’t turn around.
Oona walks back to house by herself. What the hell was that? Where this annoyment came from?

So Iiro has found himself a girlfriend and not just went along the old path of one night stands. Good for him. It's not like she was dating him anyway. Uh. Like she would want to date anyone now. No. Nopety no.

Ok. Girl. You know how to do this. Search your feelings, separate and analyze it.

She stops at the end of the stairs of second floor and goes thru her thoughts. Easier said than done. Whiff of jealousy? Guess she was possessive about her friends after all? Anger? That's easier. Being just gone thru breaking up and seeing people in their early stages of relationships is just wiping it all back to your face. Things you used to have and have lost. Bittersweet.
Jesse looks at the girl Iiro brought along as he comes down fully dressed now. That is one hot chick. Sporty fit type he really likes and that sexy badass style. Ilari said she was a single so he thought he could try his luck (after getting encouraged by two beers).

– Hey, he says.
– Hey, Oona replies.
– Haven’t met you before.
– First time here, she replies.
– Jesse, he offers her his hand.
– Nice to meet you. I’m Oona.
– Pretty name for a pretty girl.
She doesn’t look too impressed about that compliment and it makes Jesse unsure.
– Are you from Helsinki? He tries to keep the conversation up.
– Mmh.
– Long ride, he tries to come up with something to say. - What do you do except ride a motorbike and look hot.
 Oona looks even less bothered.
Err. Compliments didn’t work?
- I’m a bartender.
– Creature of the night. Where?
– If you want to put it that way, she replies with bored look. - I’d rather not want to talk about work now.

- So you came with Iiro?
- Mm.
– When you want a real man, come back here.
– to whom? You? Oona raises her brow.
 Jesse grins triumphantly.
Oona squints at him, cocks her head and snorts.
– Sorry. Can’t see any real men here. You really think you are a REAL man, huh? And then she walks away.
– Ow, Jesse huffs. Well. That went south and fast.
- What happened? Venla asks seeing dark expression on Oona’s face.
– One guy was a total jerk, she hisses.
– Don’t tell me Jesse is already drunk? Venla grimaces as she remembers him getting some beers from fridge for a breakfast. – This is going to be a looong day.
– I thought I could be free from sorry cases here, Oona huffs. – I get those drunken and clumsy pick up lines at the bar on every single shift.

– I’m sorry, Venla looks apologetic. – Jesse is a nice guy, but he gets nervous around women. He still doesn’t know how to talk to me either.
– He was a selfrighteous idiot.
– I’m not going to apologize for him, but he’s actually kind and nice guy who’s just socially awkward.
– You know, he kind of called Iiro a lesser man. I hate macho bullshit like that.
It's clear Oona is upset behalf of her friend.
– He did? Venla’s eyes widen.
– No wonder he’s been hiding his sensitivity if his friends are like that.
– I know, Venla lowers her eyes and draws a long sigh. – I saw something of it when he stopped being clown in my company. Hey, let's go to greenhouse. We can talk in private and no one's going to come there.
